Inner Child & Somatic Healing Workshops

Healing Through Connection and Movement

I’m Cynthia Alonzo Perez, LCSW, founder of Rooted in Reflection. For over a decade, I’ve been facilitating workshops that help people reconnect with their authentic selves and heal from the patterns they inherited.

My workshops blend inner child healing with somatic practices—because real transformation happens in the body, not just the mind. We work with the nervous system, not against it. We make space for the parts of ourselves we’ve been protecting. And we do it together, in community, because healing in isolation only gets us so far.

I offer workshops and trauma-informed retreat planning services virtually and in-person for organizations, retreat centers, therapy practices, corporate teams, universities, and community groups

Whether you’re a coach looking to deepen your offerings, a therapist wanting continuing education for your practice, or a team leader seeking a meaningful offsite experience—I can create something that meets your people where they are.

I also specialize in helping facilitators and retreat hosts plan trauma-informed inner child healing workshops and retreats in Mexico. If you’re dreaming of bringing a group to sacred land for transformative work, I can help you do it with clinical expertise and cultural respect.

What I Offer

Virtual and In-Person Workshops: Join our workshops from the comfort of your home or in person. We provide a supportive and nurturing environment to explore inner child healing and somatic practices.

      • Inner Child Work: Address and heal childhood wounds to foster personal growth.

      • Somatic Practices: Engage in activities like restorative yoga, EFT tapping, and guided visualization to support emotional and physical healing.

      • Polyvagal Toning: Techniques to regulate the nervous system and enhance emotional resilience.

      • Creative Healing: Use art, music, and movement as therapeutic tools to express and process emotions.

    Benefits

Can you help us plan a retreat in Mexico?

Absolutely. This is one of my specialties. I offer trauma-informed retreat consultation for facilitators and organizations bringing groups to Mexico. That includes cultural stewardship, venue recommendations, local practitioner connections, itinerary support, and on-site facilitation. Whether you want me to lead the programming or support your existing vision, I can help you create something rooted and respectful.

Yes. I regularly collaborate with retreat hosts, coaches, and therapists as a guest facilitator. I can lead a single workshop, a full day of programming, or co-facilitate alongside you.

I work with therapists, coaches, corporate teams, universities, wellness organizations, retreat centers, women’s circles, and community groups. If your people are ready for inner child and somatic healing work, I can design something that fits.

Yes. I facilitate live, interactive virtual workshops for groups anywhere in the world. Virtual sessions work well for teams, memberships, and organizations with remote participants.

My workshops blend inner child healing, somatic practices (EFT tapping, breathwork, movement, guided visualization), polyvagal toning, creative expression, and ancestral wisdom. The exact mix depends on your group and what you’re trying to create.

Yes. I have CEU-eligible trainings available. Let me know if continuing education is important for your group and I’ll share what’s available.

No. My workshops are educational and experiential. They include somatic practices and inner child work, but they are not a substitute for licensed therapy.

Email me at cynthia@rootedinreflection.org. Tell me about your group, what you’re envisioning, and any dates you’re considering. I’ll follow up to schedule a call.
